Website accessibility
Making GIS accessible includes how people read, navigate, and use its controls. This website supports keyboard navigation, reduced motion, and text alternatives to visual examples.
Follow the skip link to the main content. Use Tab to move between controls, Enter or Space to activate buttons, and Escape to close the navigation menu.
The website follows your device’s reduced-motion preference. Decorative reveals and transitions are removed when that preference is enabled.
The example explorer includes a table alongside its map and chart. Labels and written observations provide context beyond a color or a shape.
An ongoing part of the work
Accessibility needs testing and improvement as the product develops. This page describes the features we’ve built; it is not a claim of independently certified conformance.
If a page or control gets in your way, tell us which one, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you used. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing.
Help improve the experience
A specific example helps us understand the barrier and work on a useful change.
